After Filing an Application
All appellants/Tax Representatives will receive a letter or email confirming the application. This letter or email will include your hearing date, time, and location.
If the appeal is for a residential property, the appellant will receive an Evidence Packet prepared by the Real Estate Assessor’s office and the public disclosure of Taxpayer Rights via certified mail.
The appellant/Tax Representative is not required to appear for their appeal to be heard, the board will hear all appeals that were submitted and accepted.
If a Request for Reappraisal was not first filed with the assessor, an appraiser from the Assessor’s office may contact you regarding the appeal. They may request to physically inspect the property and review the appeal information with you to ensure accuracy of data prior to the BOE hearing.
If an appellant or Tax Representative decides to “Withdraw” their appeal, they must submit the request in writing.
